Read the assumptions carefully.
Annual modeled benefit = hours per week × value per hour × 52 × usable share. Annual net benefit subtracts recurring monthly costs × 12. Simple payback divides upfront cost by positive annual net benefit. Total modeled cost adds upfront cost to recurring costs over the selected horizon.
Inputs are illustrative defaults, not product prices, quotes, or promises. Shifted work may create capacity rather than cash savings. The model excludes financing, tax, residual value, wage changes, opportunity cost, and any costs you have not entered. Include integration, supervision, training, energy, insurance, and downtime in your assumptions. For home buyers, the value of time is a personal choice.
